With exams just around the corner it's nice to have a light at the end of the tunnel, so, in the interests of sanity we would like to give you just such a light.
MedBall will be a night of class and sophistication.. (for at least half an hour or so) with 5 hours of drinking, dancing and good ol' fashioned Med student fun.

Hello and welcome to uwsms.org! 
A long time in the making, UWSMS is proud to finally be on the world wide web. Uwsms.org will be regularly updated with breaking news, minutes of meetings, upcoming social events, photos and videos, games and much more! The UWSMS exec will endeavor to keep the website a relevant and engaging place of information for members and guests and anticipates that communication between the exec and its members will be vastly improved. Some areas of the site may only be accessed by logging in, which is only open to medical students of UWS. This also allows us to contact you with important information like last minute event changes etc. You must register your user name using the format jbloggs or jcitizen. This allows our moderators to cohort students and ensure only medsoc members have member access. Register now for a chance to win great prizes! (For security reasons new users will not be accepted after monday 20th through the front end of this site) Special thanks to Marcus Handmer (Med I) for volunteering countless hours of his time and technical wizardry to construct this awesome site, what a legend!  Tuesday the 7th of October 2008 heralded the triumphant opening of the UWS School of Medicine's first medical revue - produced, directed and acted by medical students who should have been studying for their end of year exams.
The show was a fantastic success, bringing together both first and second year students in a showcase of talent and artistic finesse. Nothing was sacred, everything was lampooned and over 150 audience members - staff, family, friends, med students and even UNSW students - howled for more. Congratulations to Chloe, Sean, Paran and Priyanka and all other cast and crew for such a great inaugural revue .

Blood Drive - Vampire Cup 2008 |

BLOOD DRIVE A ROARING SUCCESS!
Thank you to everybody who generously donated blood as a part of AMSA’s National Blood drive. On final count there were 94 proud names on our own Vampire Cup, which is a whopping 44.76% of all students! Considering we won AMSA’s Vampire Cup last year with only 34% I think we are HOT favourites again. Rumour has it however, that those new kids at Notre Dame, Sydney have also done very well and might challenge our crown as the heartiest medschool in Australia…
The final result will be announced at the 3rd AMSA National Council in Brisbane on 18th October, so stay tuned!
