Student Committee Opportunities for 2010 - Positions Available |
Student Committee positions are now available for 2010! Committees are the mechanism by which the medical school staff can manage and improve the MBBS program at UWS, and student input is often sought. A limited number of interested students are able to attend committees and have their say - making real input into how the course is changed for the years ahead. Commitment ranges from biannual to monthly, so check the available committees before you make your decision. Places are filled on a first-come-first-serve basis, except when provisions must be made for years that have not yet formally started (e.g. year 1 2010). I've attached a document with a list of committees, what they do, and what positions are available. Please email me at

if you'd like to be on a committee. Make sure you include your name, year and clinical school (if a clinical year), as well as the committee you'd like to be on. The medical school seeks a balance of students, so students from all years are required. Don't hesitate to email me if you have questions, Marcus Handmer Academic Executive

COMPETITION FOR SURGICAL SOCIETY NAME AND LOGO |
After the successful launch of the surgical society on Thursday, 21 January 2010 there are only two, but very essential, details left to address before we can truly bring this surgical society into creation.
These are the name and the logo for our surgical society. We want you to decide on the name and design the logo of your surgical society.
Of course no hard work goes over-looked. The winner of the “Competition for surgical society name and logo” will win the book “Atlas of Anatomy” by Gilroy, MacPherson and Ross. |
